Women's Basketball Earns First-Round Bye In WNIT

Friars will host the winner of Colgate vs. Albany in Round 2 at Alumni Hall.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's basketball team is one of 16 teams to receive a First-Round bye in the 2024 Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). 
 
The official bracket was released on March 18. The Friars will await the winner of the First-Round match-up between Colgate and UAlbany, which will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 in Hamilton, N.Y.
 
The Friars' will host the winner of Colgate/UAlbany at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I. on a date that is yet to be determined. Second-Round games are scheduled to be played March 23-26. Information regarding ticket sales for the second round will be released in the coming days.
