Kylee Sheppard To Miss Remainder Of 2023-24 Season

Sheppard averaged 7.3 points, 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals in six games for the Friars this season.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College junior guard Kylee Sheppard (Cincinnati, Ohio) will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season due to an injury.
 
Sheppard, a team captain, started six games for the Friar women's basketball team this season and averaged 7.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and a team-best 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game. 
 
"Kylee remains an important part of our program and her leadership, albeit in a different capacity, is going to be critical to our growth moving forward," Head Coach Erin Batth said. 
 
During the course of Sheppard's career, she has played 54 games with 51 appearances in the starting line-up. The point guard has averaged 8.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
 
Providence College (8-7) will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 6 against St. John's. The Friars have started the BIG EAST slate with a 2-0 record, marking the program's best start in league play since 1999-00. Providence's game against St. John's will be nationally televised on FS1 and is scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
