Late Night Madness Returns to The Amica Mutual Pavilion

Friars open the 2023-24 men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The 2023-24 Providence College Late Night Madness celebration returned to the Amica Mutual Pavilion on Saturday, September 30. The night consisted of performances by the cheer and dance teams and student dance groups, as well as introductions of the men's and women's basketball teams. OneRepublic closed out the night with a concert.  

At 6:30 p.m., more than 7,000 students, alumni and family poured into the AMP to see the PC dance and cheer performances, as well as the men's and women's basketball team introductions. Following the dance performances, the women's basketball team along with Head Coach Erin Batth were brought onto the court. After introducing the women's squad, the men's basketball team danced onto the floor. Coach Kim English followed the team on to the court to address Friartown. At the end of the night, OneRepublic hit the stage for an entertaining performance.  

On Saturday, October 14, PC men's basketball will compete in the annual Mal Brown Intra-Squad Scrimmage at the AMP. Tip-off is set forv4:00 p.m. Prior to the scrimmage, the Friar women's basketball team will host a youth clinic and autograph session at the AMP starting at 2:45 p.m. The women's basketball team will play an exhibition game versus New Haven on Wednesday, Nov.1 at 7:00 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
