EUGENE, ORE. – Providence College sophomore
Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) finished seventh in the 1,500 Meter Women's Finals at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon today (June 11). Flockhart placed seventh in a time of 4:11.11 to earn First Team All-America honors. It marks her first All-America accolade.
The All-America honor caps off a strong season for Flockhart as she was a double Big East Champion (2022 Indoor Mile, 2022 Outdoor 1,500 Meters- 4:20.43). She also won her Quarterfinal at the 2022 East Division Regional in Bloomington, Ind. on May 28 in a time of 4:10.80, which established a facility record, Providence College record, personal best and qualified her for the NCAA Finals.
