Abbey Wheeler Earns Second Team All-America Honors

Abbey Wheeler competed in the second day of the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

EUGENE, Oreg.- The Providence College women's track team had one athlete compete in the second day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, June 10. Senior Abbey Wheeler (Elmira, N.Y.) competed in the finals of the 10,000 meter. To earn First or Second Team All-America honors, athletes must place in the top-16.

Wheeler finished strong placing twelfth overall in a personal record of 33:04.56 to earn Second Team All-American Honors. This is Wheeler's fourth All-America Honor of her career.
