Winston-Salem, N.C.- Providence College women's indoor track runner
Abbey Wheeler (Elmira, N.Y.) won the JDL Camel City Invitational 5,000-meter in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Friday, Feb. 19. Wheeler's time, 15:57, puts her top-10 in the country in the 5,000-meter. Fellow Friar,
Lilly Tuck (Sunderland, Canada) finished fourth (16:53).
Wheeler outkicked North Carolina State's Kelsey Chmiel in the final portion of the race to take the victory.
The Providence College women's indoor track team competes next in Kingston, R.I. on Feb. 25.
