Providence College's
Mary Baskerville (Enfield, Conn.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Nov. 30. The junior forward guided the Friars to a 2-1 record to open the season, averaging 16.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.3 blocked shots, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
She shot an impressive .649 from the field, hitting 24-37 attempts from the floor. In the season opener at Quinnipiac, Baskerville recorded 15 points, a season-high nine rebounds and two assists in just 16 minutes of action. Over the weekend, she posted 16 points and seven boards against Rhode Island and a season-high 18 points and five rebounds against Bryant. Baskerville recorded a career-best five blocked shots against the Bulldogs on Sunday.
In just her third season with the Friars, Baskerville has compiled 711 points and is on the cusp of reaching the 500-rebound mark (488). She has averaged 10.8 points and 7.4 rebounds during her career, spanning 66 games, playing just 19.9 minutes per game.
The Friars return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 2 against Boston College. The game will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra (ESPN) and is scheduled to tip-off at 5:00 p.m. in Chestnut Hill, Mass.Â
