The Friars open their league slate on the road against Marquette and DePaul.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's basketball program released its 2018-19 BIG EAST Conference schedule today [Sept. 17].  The Friars will play an 18-game slate, with Providence facing each of the other nine conference teams once at home and once on the road.  

Providence opens its league schedule in Milwaukee, Wis. against Marquette on Dec. 29, followed by a trip to Chicago, Ill. to face DePaul on Dec. 31.  Marquette and DePaul shared the league's regular-season title last season, and the Blue Demons went on to capture the BIG EAST Tournament title on Mar. 6 at Wintrust Arena.

The Friars open the New Year at home in Alumni Hall against Georgetown (Jan. 4) and Villanova (Jan. 6).

On Jan. 11, Providence heads to St. John's to take on the Red Storm at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, N.Y. Providence remains on the road for a match-up with Seton Hall on Jan. 13 at Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, N.J.  The game against the Pirates will be televised on FS2.

Providence welcomes Butler (Jan. 18) and Xavier (Jan. 20) to Alumni Hall/Mullaney Gymnasium, before heading on the road for three-straight games against Creighton (Jan. 26), Villanova (Feb. 1) and Georgetown (Feb. 3).

Five of the Friars' next seven games are scheduled to be played at home in Providence, R.I., beginning with Seton Hall (Feb. 8) and St. John's (Feb. 10).  The only road games during the stretch will be played in Cincinnati, Ohio against Xavier (Feb. 15) and in Indianapolis, Ind. against Butler (Feb. 17).  Providence's match-up against Xavier will be televised on FS2.

The Friars close the regular-season with three-straight games at Alumni Hall against Creighton (Feb. 23), DePaul (Mar. 1) and Marquette (Mar. 3).

With the exception of Providence's televised match-ups on FS2 against Seton Hall (Jan. 13) and Xavier (Feb. 15), each of the team's BIG EAST Conference regular-season games will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) via FOX Sports Go.  To watch games on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN), download the FOX Sports Go app on your mobile device or tablet, or tune in via the internet on your desktop/laptop computer by navigating to http://www.FOXSportsGo.com.
