Women's Basketball Releases 2006-07 Non-Conference Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College Head Women's Basketball Coach Phil Seymore announced the Friars' 2006-07 non-conference schedule on Monday, June 26. Providence's non-conference slate consists of 13 games. Seven of the Friars' 13 games will be played at PC's Alumni Hall/Mullaney Gymnasium in Providence, R.I. The Friars tip-off the season at Manhattan on Friday, November 10. The schedule also features an in-season holiday tournament at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on November 24-25. The tournament field is comprised of host UNC Greensboro, Longwood and North Carolina A&T.

Providence hosts cross-city rival Brown in its home opener on Sunday, November 12. The Friars' tilt against Brown is the first of four-straight home games at Alumni Hall. PC hosts Saint Peter's on Wednesday, November 15, Northeastern on Saturday, November 18 and Saint Francis (N.Y.) on Tuesday, November 21.

After competing in the holiday tournament at UNC Greensboro, the Friars will play two-straight road games at New Hampshire on Tuesday, November 28 and Sacred Heart on Friday, December 1.

The Friars return home to the confines of Alumni Hall/Mullaney Gymnasium to host games against Fordham (Sunday, December 10) and in-state rival Rhode Island (Friday, December 22).

Providence will play its final road game of the non-conference schedule against Yale on Friday, December 29. The Friars close out their non-conference schedule with a home game against Harvard on Sunday, December 31 in Providence, R.I.
