LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Providence College men's lacrosse team defeated Siena, 8-7, in double-overtime during Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action on Saturday, April 8 in Loudonville, N.Y. Senior Michael Farley (Westfield, N.J.) scored a game-high four goals, including the game winner just 31-seconds into the second overtime.

The two teams were knotted at 2-2 after the first quarter of play. The Friars outscored the Saints, 3-1, in the second quarter to take a 5-3 lead at halftime.

Siena rallied to take the lead (7-6) in the third quarter with a 4-1 scoring advantage. Farley scored the game-tying goal for force overtime in the fourth quarter at the 13:07 mark. It was the only goal scored by either team in the fourth quarter. After one scoreless four-minute overtime session, Farley recorded the game-winning goal just 31-seconds into the second overtime.

Freshman Bobby Labadini (Westford, Mass.) added three goals in the Providence victory. Sophomore R.J. Lamontagne (Pittsford, N.Y.) netted one goal. Graduate student Jonathan Hollister (Longmeadow, Mass.) tallied three assists on the day. Junior Brendan Ryan (Chatham, N.J.) recorded two assists for PC.

Matt Donovan and Matt Walsh each scored two goals for Siena, who lost its first MAAC game of the season. Donovan added a team-high three assists.

Junior Peter Littell (Upper Montclair, N.J.) recorded 11 saves in goal for Providence and improves his record to 4-2 on the year. David Jalette also made 13 saves in goal for Siena.

Providence returns to action on Monday, April 10 against Vermont at 3:30 p.m. The game will be played in Burlington, Vt.
