EMMITSBURG, Md. - The Providence College lacrosse team fell on the road at Mount St. Mary's 16-4, on Wednesday, March 7. The loss marked the third of the year, and the first during conference play since the start of the 2001 season for Providence.

The Friars (0-3, 0-1 MAAC) netted the games first goal as Jim Dooley tallied the first of his two goals on the day, but the Mountaineers (1-2, 1-0 MAAC) took a 6-3 lead at halftime. The Mount pulled away in the third as they outscored Providence 7-0 to lead the game 13-3.

Aside from Dooley, Skip Dunphy and Jon Meehan were the only other Friars to tally goals. Chris Houston registered two assists, while Dunphy and Kyle Ojakian added one each.
