CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Providence men's lacrosse team fell 8-4 to Harvard in it's second game of the season.
The Crimson took an early 4-0 lead that extended into the beginning of the third quarter, before the Friars were able to get themselves on the scoreboard. The duo of David Kole and Kyle Ojakian teamed up for a pair of extra-man tallies to cut the lead in half at 4-2. Harvard stretched the lead to 8-2, and it proved to be too much for Providence as it was only able to notch two more goals to make the final 8-4. Chris Houston and Kevin Kornobis scored the remaining goals for the Friars.
Providence goalkeeper John Farley made 16 saves in the losing effort. Harvard goalies Jake McKenna and Ely Kahn combined for four saves on the day with McKenna taking the win.
