As a Junior: Placed second in the 200 scm freestyle (1:59.91) and third in the 400 scm freestyle (4:21.28) against Fairfield…At the Harold Anderson Invitational, Straker placed fourth in the 500 freestyle (4:46.99), third in the 200 freestyle (1:45.32), and sixth in the 100 freestyle (49.09)…Placed third in the 200 scm freestyle (1:59.90) and second in the 400 scm freestyle (4:20.96) against Maine…Straker qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in Geneva, Ohio where he placed 15th in the 500 freestyle (4:41.08), 15th in the 200 freestyle (1:42.48), and also competed in the 100 freestyle. He was also a member of the fifth place 800 freestyle relay.

As a Sophomore: Placed second in the 200 scm freestyle (2:02.21) and third in the 400 scm freestyle (4:23.02) against Bryant…At the Harold Anderson Invitational, Straker placed second in the 500 (4:47.55), first in the 200 freestyle (1:45.69), and 14 in the 100 freestyle (49.79)… Placed second in the 200 scm freestyle (2:02.08) and first in the 400 scm freestyle (4:23.02) against Holy Cross…Straker qualified for the BIG EAST championships in the 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 100 freestyle. He placed 18 in the 500 (4:48.52), 15 in the 200 (1:43.62), and 22 in the 100 (48.19). He was also a member of the 800 and 400 freestyle relays, both of which placed fifth.

Personal: Born January 15 1997...Son of Garry and Brenda Straker...Has one brother Danny and one sister Caleigh...Mom Brenda was a swimmer at Boston University, Dad was a soccer player at University of Connecticut... Majoring in Finance.
