NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Providence College swimming and diving programs competed at Iona on Saturday, Oct. 25 in New Rochelle, N.Y. The women's team was defeated, 186.5-106.5 and the men's team fell to the Gaels, 172-109.
On the women's side, the Friars swept the diving events.
Myranda Parker finished first in the 1-meter dive with 1:56.40 points, while
Kaelyn Talisse topped the list of competitors in the 3-meter dive (154.30).
Lauren Wagner claimed the Friars' lone first-place finish during the swimming portion of the meet, winning the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:13.18.
On the men's side, three Friars earned first-place finishes in their respective events.
Erik Hoie topped the field in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.80.
Colin Wolf finished first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:55.87).
Gabe Hawkins placed first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:59.10.
The men's and women's teams each earned first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
