Bella Lombard, Aidan Puk and Gabe Hawkins claimed first place finishes in their respective events.
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Providence College swimming and diving programs competed against Bryant on Friday, Oct. 31 in Smithfield, R.I. The diving events were held at Brown University on Thursday, Oct. 30. The men's team was defeated, 201-87, and the women lost, 219-81.
On the women's side, Bella Lombard competed well in the backstroke. She finished first in the 200-yard event (2:07.90) and placed second in the 100-yard back. On the men's side, Aidan Puk and Gabe Hawkins pulled out first place finishes in their respective events. Puk claimed first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.59), while Hawkins topped the field in the 200-yard IM (1:59.17).

The Providence College women's swimming and diving team returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 5 against Rhode Island. The meet will be held at Taylor Natatorium in Providence, R.I. and will begin at 5:00 p.m. The men's team will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 against Villanova at Taylor Natatorium in Providence, R.I. The competition is slated to begin at Noon.
