As A Sophomore:Â Placed eighth in the 200-yard backstroke at the New England Catholic Invitational (1:59.47)... Finished second in the 200-yard backstroke at the Harold Anderson Invitational (1:51.51)... Finished 13th at the BIG EAST Championships in the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.74).
As a Freshman: Placed first in the 200 scm freestyle (1:57.95) and second in the 100 scm freestyle (54.33) against Fairfield… At the Harold Anderson Invitational, McElrath placed fifth in the 100 backstroke (54.04/54.76) and third in the 200 backstroke (1:57.84/1:55.13). He was also a member of the first place 200 freestyle relay and the first place 800 freestyle relay… Placed second in the 200 scm freestyle (1:58.24) and first in the 400 scm freestyle (4:16.40) against Villanova… McElrath qualified for the BIG EAST Championships, placing 19th in the 500 freestyle (4:42.16), 12th in the 200 freestyle (1:42.75), 12th in the 200 backstroke (1:52.58), and was a member of the fifth place 200 freestyle relay.Â

Before Providence: Earned a varsity letter at Shaker High School… Captain during Senior year season… MVP (2018) … Holds school record for 400 freestyle relay.Â

Personal: Born June 7, 2000… Son of Amy and Tim McElrath… Has two sisters, Emma and Maddie … Marketing major.
