PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College swimming and diving teams hosted Fairfield in dual meet action on Oct. 18 at Taylor Natatorium in Providence, R.I. The women's team fell to Fairfield, 183-117. The men's team was defeated by the Stags, 208-91.
There were a number of notable performances by the Friars on both sides. For the women,
Kaelyn Talisse claimed each of the 1-meter diving events, claiming 229.35 points and 246.00 points, respectively.
Bella Lombard claimed a first-place finish in the 100-meter backstroke (1:05.71) and placed second in the 200-meter backstroke (2:21.17).
On the men's side,
Jake Stachowicz won the 50-meter freestyle (24.19) and placed second in the 100-meter free (53.35).
Gabe Hawkins touched the wall ahead of the field in the 100-meter freestyle (53.29).
Aidan Puk had two second-place finishes in the 100 and 200-meter butterfly events.
