PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College senior forward
Olivia Olsen was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Feb. 24. It marked her second appearance on the honor roll this season and the seventh appearance of her career.
In a 1-1 week for the Friars, Olsen recorded back-to-back double doubles and averaged 17.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. She shot 54-percent from the field (15-28) and 83-percent from the foul line (5-6).
Against Marquette on Feb. 19, Olsen recorded 17 points, 10 boards and one steal. In the Friars' victory over Villanova on senior day (Feb. 23), Olsen registered 18 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Olsen heads into the regular-season finale against Georgetown on Saturday, March 1 with 1,283 career points and 889 rebounds. She ranks 14
th all-time at Providence in career scoring and fourth all-time in rebounding. Additionally, she is one of four players in program history to record more than 1,200 points and 800 boards in her career.
