James Corasaniti Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honors For The Third-Straight Week

Friars goalkeeper named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for men’s lacrosse.

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Providence College men's lacrosse goaltender James Corasaniti (New York, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on April 22, following the team's conference match-up against No. 6 Denver. It marked the third-consecutive week that Corasaniti has earned Weekly Honors. He previously claimed BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on April 8 was named to the Weekly Honor Roll on April 15. 
 
Corasaniti registered nine saves on 16 shots, holding Denver to a season-low seven goals. The graduate student has started every game for Providence this season and has registered 143 saves. He averages 11 saves a game, which ranks second in the BIG EAST. Corasaniti was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team and was named BIG EAST Golkeeper of the Year at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign.
 
WHATS NEXT: The Friars travel to Queens, N.Y. to face St. John's on Friday, April 26. Faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m. The Friars can clinch a BIG EAST Championship berth with a win or with a loss by three or less goals.
