PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College junior Ryan Bell (Smithtown, N.Y.) has been added to the 2024 Tewaaraton Watch List. The Tewaaraton Foundation announced its second round of additions on March 27. Bell is the third Providence College player to be named to the Tewaaraton Watch List, joining former Friar goaltenders Toby Burgdorf '21 and Tate Boyce '19.

The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are comprised of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.

Bell, who was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, currently leads the Friars in points (40) and assists (26). He recently became the second player in program history to reach 100 career assist and needs just three more to become the program's all-time leader. The junior ranks 12th among division I players in assist per game (2.89) and ranks 23rd in the nation in points per game (4.44). Additionally, he was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week (March 11) and named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (Feb. 5).
