SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Providence College men's and women's track and field teams competed at Bryant University's Black and Gold Invitational on Sunday, April 2 in Smithfield, R.I.
Alex O'Neill set a meet record in the 1,500 meters.
Leading the Friar women,
Alex O'Neill (Ennis, Ireland) won the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:28.91, breaking the meet record and setting a personal record.
Meg Hughes (Rochester, Mass.) and
Niamh Gowing (Dublin, Ireland) placed first (57.35) and second (57.60) in the 400 meters, respectively.
On the men's side,
Brett Lehman (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) placed second in the 400 meters in a time of 49.30.
Tim Dolan (Cinnaminson, N.J.) ran a 1:53.95 in the 800 meters for second place finish.
