NEW YORK, N.Y. – Providence College men's lacrosse player
Ryan Bell (Smithtown, N.Y.) earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition on Monday, Apr. 10.
Bell led the conference in points over the weekend, recording seven points on two goals and a season-high five assists. Bell was able to collect an assist in each quarter of the Friars' narrow 13-11 loss against then-No.10 Georgetown on Saturday, highlighted by his back-to-back assists to
Jack Horrigan and
Michael Chabra in the third frame to bring the Friars within four.
Bell currently leads the conference and ranks fifth in the nation in assists per game (2.82). The sophomore also ranks second in the BIG EAST in points per game (4.45). This season, Bell has collected 49 points on 18 goals and 31 assists.
WHAT'S NEXT… The Friars will welcome Villanova University to Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on Saturday, Apr. 15. Opening face-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
