PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) of the Providence College women's hockey team was awarded Hockey East Pro-Ambitions Rookie of the Week as announced on Monday, March 6 for the third-consecutive week.
Walinski was recognized for her performances against Vermont in the Hockey East semifinals and against Northeastern in the Hockey East championship. Walinski made 30 saves against Vermont to secure a 1-0 win in the semifinals on Wednesday, March 1. Walinski recorded her fourth-consecutive start in between the pipes on Saturday, March 4 in the Hockey East championship. Though the Friars fell to Northeastern 4-1, Walinski made an impressive 32 saves against the Huskies.
