Women’s Hockey Positioned at No.14 In Latest National Poll.

The Friars finished the regular season 20-10-4 overall and 15-8-4 in Hockey East play.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey team is ranked No.14 in the most recent USCHO Division I National Poll, as announced on Monday, Feb. 20.
 
Since the last USCHO Poll, the Friars are coming off a weekend split against Boston College. On Friday, Feb. 17 the Friars fell to the Eagles, 5-2. On Saturday, Feb. 18 Providence shutout the Eagles 3-0.
 
Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) led the Friars in total points with four comprised of three assists and one goal. Noemi Neubauerova (Prague, Czech Republic) followed with three points of two assists and one goal. Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished the weekend 43 saves.
 
UP NEXT
The Friars will host the University of Maine in the quarterfinal round of the Hockey East tournament on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Schneider Arena. Puck drop is set for 3:00 p.m.
