Women's Basketball Releases Non-Conference Schedule

Friars open the season with an exhibition game against Southern New Hampshire on Oct. 25.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's basketball Head Coach Jim Crowley announced his program's non-conference schedule today [Sept. 1]. The Friars will host Southern New Hampshire University in an exhibition game on Oct. 25, followed by a regular-season slate featuring 11 games.
The Friars officially tip-off the season against perennial A-10 power Dayton on Nov. 7 at Alumni Hall / Mullaney Gymnasium. Providence remains at home to host Stonehill (Nov. 11), who is playing its first season in the NCAA Division I ranks.
Providence begins a three-game road stretch on Nov. 14 with a trip to Kingston, R.I. to face intrastate rival Rhode Island at the Ryan Center. The Friars finish up the road stretch at Iona (Nov. 17) and Boston College (Nov. 20).
On Nov. 25 – 27, Providence will welcome Hartford, Weber State and Bryant to Alumni Hall as it hosts the 2022 Friar Thanksgiving Classic. The six-game tournament will pit the Friars against Hartford (Nov. 25), Weber State (Nov. 26) and Bryant (Nov. 27), with an additional neutral-site game between tournament participants each day.
Providence closes out the non-conference schedule with home games against Brown (Dec. 7) and Central Connecticut (Dec. 10) and a road contest at Sacred Heart on Dec. 20.
