Bell, Grillo and Chabra Earn BIG EAST Weekly Honors

The awards recognize performances in a 20-14 victory over St. John’s.
New York, N.Y.- Providence College men's lacrosse players Ryan Bell (Smithtown, N.Y.), Matt Grillo (Setauket, N.Y.) and Michael Chabra (Reading, Mass.) earned BIG EAST Weekly Awards following their individual performances against St. John's on April 30. The Friars defeated the Red Storm, 20-14.
Bell, who was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, tallied a team-high six assists against St. John's and recorded one caused turnover. Bell finishes the 2022 regular season leading the team in assists (34) and tied for most points on the team (43).
Grillo and Chabra were both named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Grillo tallied a team-high nine points on six goals and three assists for his seventh hat-trick of the season. Chabra recorded five goals on the day, for his third hat-trick of the season.
