Women's Hockey Set To Host Holy Cross In Opening Round of Hockey East Tournament

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's hockey team is set to host the Holy Cross Crusaders in the Opening Round of the 2022 Hockey East Tournament this Wednesday, Feb. 23. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. at Schneider Arena.
The Friars open the tournament as the No. 7 seed in the tournament, while the Crusaders will serve as the No. 10 seed. It will be the first-ever post season meeting between the Friars and the Crusaders. Providence has never lost to Holy Cross during the Crusaders' four-year tenure in Hockey East, posting a perfect 12-0-0 mark. This season, the teams met over three-consecutive games, including back-to-back overtime victories for Providence. The Friars are 19-21 all-time in Hockey East Tournament play.
