Providence College Women’s Hockey Moves Up To No.13 In National Poll

The Friars are coming off a 2-0 weekend sweep against Holy Cross.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey team slotted in at No. 13 in the USCHO Division I Women's Poll, as announced on Monday, Oct.17.
 
The Friars are coming off a 2-0 weekend sweep with shutouts over Holy Cross (4-0) on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 (4-0). Providence holds the No. 13 spot with 67 points. Other ranked Hockey East opponents include Northeastern (253 points) at No. 3 and Vermont (40 points) at No.14.
 
The Friars take the ice next on Friday, Oct. 21 when they travel to Durham, New Hampshire to open a home-and-home series with the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. Puck drops at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 the Friars will host UNH back at Schneider Arena for a 3:00 p.m. start.
