Jaxson Stauber (Plymouth, Minn.) has been nominated for the Hobey Baker Award, given annually to the top player in Division I men's hockey.

Stauber ranks fourth in the NCAA with 14 victories, eighth in shutouts (3), 10
th in save percentage (.926) and third in minutes played (1305:53). The junior has surrendered two or fewer goals in 14-of-22 starts this season in posting a 2.11 goals-against average.

Fan voting for the Hobey Baker Award is now live and will run through March 6. Phase two of fan voting will begin on March 17 after the announcement of the top-10 nominees. The Hobey Hat Trick finalists will be revealed on March 31 with the 2022 Hobey Baker Award winner being announced from a field of three Hobey Hat Trick finalists on Friday, April 8, 2022 during the NCAA Frozen Four Championship in Boston, Mass. Award criteria include candidates exhibiting the exceptional character traits of the award's namesake, Hobey Baker. A legendary American hero, Baker was a World War I fighter pilot and was known as America's greatest amateur athlete in his day, excelling at hockey and football at Princeton University. Award candidates must demonstrate strength of character both on and off the ice, contribute to the integrity of his team and display outstanding skills in all phases of the game. Consideration should be given to scholastic achievement and sportsmanship. Â
