Men's Hockey Adds Carter Klippenstein To The 2026-27 Roster

The Minnesota Wild draft pick appeared in 164 career games with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey has added Carter Klippenstein (Lethbridge, Alta.) to the roster for the 2026-27 season. Klippenstein joins the Friars after signing an athletic aid agreement to attend Providence College.
 
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound forward was drafted in the fourth round (123rd overall) by the Minnesota Wild in the 2025 NHL Draft. He appeared in 38 games with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) in 2025-26, totaling 28 points on 11 goals and 17 assists. In 164 games with Brandon over three-plus seasons, he amassed 77 points on 35 goals and 42 assists with a +13 rating and 173 penalty minutes.
 
Klippenstein participated in training camp with the Wild, appearing in one preseason game. At the 2025 NHL Scouting Combine, he found his way onto the leaderboards across a number of different categories, including pro agility right (first), mean power output (second), horizontal jump (sixth), VO2max (eighth), pro agility left (ninth), bench press 50% body weight (10th) and pull ups (10th).
