PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey has added goaltender
Gibson Homer (Grand Rapids, Mich.) to the roster for the 2026-27 season. Homer spent the 2025-26 season with the University of North Dakota after three seasons at Arizona State University (2022-25).
At North Dakota, Homer appeared in 14 games for the Fighting Hawks in 2025-26, posting a 9-5-0 record with a 2.71 GAA and .889 save percentage. At Arizona State, he recorded a 16-8-4 mark with a 2.32 GAA and .924 save percentage over 30 games played. He led all qualified NCAA goaltenders with a .931 save percentage during the 2023-24 season while posting an 8-3-2 mark that season. He was named a nominee for the Mike Richter Award in 2024-25 after registering a .919 save percentage over 16 games played.
Before Arizona State, Homer was a part of the U.S. National Development Program U17 team (2019-20) and U18 team (2020-21) before playing one season with the Chicago Steel (USHL) in 2021-22.
