BOSTON, Mass. - Three former Friars competed in the National Women's Hockey League's 2021 Isobel Cup Final on Saturday, March 27. Providence alumnae
Christina Putigna ('19) and
Meaghan Rickard ('20) of the Boston Pride and Allie Morse ('16) of the Minnesota Whitecaps competed for the cup. The Boston Pride defeated the Minnesota Whitecaps, 4-3, taking home Isobel Cup for the second time in team history.
Putigna has played in all eight games this season tallying two goals and eight assists for a total of 10 points. Her eight assists rank her second on the team. Putigna tallied two assists in the championship game. Rickard has posted one goal in her eight games playing for the Pride.
Morse appeared in one game for the Whitecaps in 2020-21, earning a relief appearance against Toronto on Jan. 24.
