Hinrichs Earns Preseason All-BIG EAST Accolades

The Providence College men’s lacrosse team was picked fourth in the BIG EAST.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The BIG EAST announced on Wednesday, Jan. 22 that Providence College's Tim Hinrichs (Amherst, N.H.) was named to the 2020 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. The Friars also were picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
Hinrichs, a senior captain midfielder, played in 15 games last season, including 11 appearances in the starting line-up. The 2019 All-BIG EAST Second Team selection finished second on the team in assists (16) and fourth in points (29). Hinrichs notched a career-high five assists against Sacred Heart on Mar. 2, 2019. He was named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Apr. 1, 2019.
 
Providence finishes up its preseason with a road scrimmage at UMass on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 12 p.m. The Friars kick-off their 2020 campaign on the road against Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1:00 p.m.
