PROVIDENCE, R.I.– Former Providence College men's lacrosse stand-out
Jarrod Neumann '17 has been selected to play for Team Baptiste in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) All-Star Game on Sunday, July 21 at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The game is scheduled to face-off at 5:00 p.m. (PST) and will be televised on NBC Sports.
Neumann also has been selected to participate in the PLL Skills Challenge, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. (PST) on July 21 – following the All-Star Game. Neumann will compete against fellow PLL players in two challenges: fastest shot and fastest player. The Skills Challenge will be televised on NBC Sports Gold.
Neumann has played all six games for Chaos LC in the inaugural season of the PLL. He leads Chaos in two-point goals and ranks second overall in the PLL, having converted 3-of-6 attempts from beyond the arc. He also leads all defensemen in goals, league-wide. Additionally, Neumann has collected 15 groundballs and caused four turnovers with Chaos.
Neumann graduated from Providence College in 2017 and went on to serve as the lacrosse program's graduate assistant, while completing his Masters of Business Administration. In his senior season, Neumann earned USILA/Nike Second-Team All-America recognition and was named to the Inside Lacrosse Media All-America Third-Team. Additionally, he nabbed BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year as well as All-BIG EAST First Team recognition, BIG EAST All-Tournament Team honors and NEILA All-New England First-Team accolades. Neumann also competed in the 76th Annual USILA/Nike North-South All-Star Game. He was previously drafted 38
th overall by the Colorado Mammoth of the NLL (Sept. 2017) and 25
th overall by the Florida Launch of the MLL (May 2017).
