PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Recent Providence College graduate and women's ice hockey standout Christina Putigna (Grimsby, Ontario) signed with the Boston Pride of the NWHL today, May 23.
Putigna concluded her career as a Friar having played in 135 games and registering 110 points. She totaled 46 goals and 64 assists during her impressive four-year campaign. The forward served as an assistant captain during her senior season and was named to the 2019 Hockey East All-Tournament Team.
"I'm looking forward to continuing to shape my game and learn from those around me with the Boston Pride in my first season as a pro," said Putigna. "It's exciting and humbling to have this opportunity to sign with the Pride. It means a lot to me to get the chance to remain in New England and pursue my hockey career."
