Sara Hjalmarsson Named to Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) of the Providence College women's hockey team has been named to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team, as announced by the league today (March 6).
Hjalmarsson has 23 points on 11 goals and 12 assists so far in her rookie campaign. She is third on the team in both points and goals and is fifth on the team in assists. Three of her goals have come as game-winners, while one came on the power play this year. In total, she's posted 72 shots and is +10.
The rookie forward has recorded multi-point games on four occasions this season, including a hat trick on Oct. 12 against Holy Cross. Hjalmarsson ranks fifth in points and tied for fourth in goals among all Hockey East rookies.
Hockey East will announce the remainder of its league awards during the championship weekend banquet on Friday, March 8.
