Kaela Webb Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Webb netted a game and career-high 22 points in the Friars' victory over UMass on Nov. 9.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College sophomore guard Kaela Webb (Pontiac, Mich.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Nov. 11. It marks her first appearance on the league's weekly honor roll, having previously earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week accolades a season ago.
Webb enjoyed an impressive week for the Friars to begin the 2019-20 campaign. She started the season with 12 points on 4-8 shooting from the field against Yale on Nov. 5, including 4-7 from three-point territory. Webb played just 18 minutes, as the game was suspended at halftime, with the Friars leading 42-33.
The Friars closed the week with a 72-63 victory at UMass on Nov. 9. Webb scored a game and career-high 22 points on 7-15 shooting from the field, including another blistering performance from beyond the arc, hitting 6-11 attempts from downtown. In one-and-a-half games, Webb knocked down 10 of her 18 three-point attempts (.556) and was 47.8-percent from the field overall (11-23).
Providence returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 13 against Hartford at Chase Arena in West Hartford, Conn. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN3.
