FOR STARTERS...
- Seventh-seeded Providence will travel to second-seeded Boston University for a 3:00 p.m. puck drop in the Hockey East quarterfinal game.
- The game will take place in Boston, Mass. at Walter Brown Arena on Saturday, March 1.
- The Friars and Terriers will be meeting for the third straight year in post-season play.
- It marks the program's first meeting against BU in the Hockey East quarterfinal game.

FRIARS IN POST-SEASON PLAY...
- Providence has appeared in post-season play 31 straight seasons now.
- The Friars hold an all-time record of 40-21 in post-season play.
- In Hockey East post-season play, Providence is 13-8 overall and is the only team to have made the semifinals each year since the inauguration of the league.
- In six Hockey East Championship game appearances, the Friars have captured three league titles.
- Last season the Friars fell 4-0 to Boston University in the Hockey East semifinal match-up.
- The Friars are 4-0 in Hockey East quarterfinal games and 11-4 in all-time quarterfinal match-ups.
LAST WEEKEND...
- The Friars fell 2-1 on Feb. 21 and 3-1 on Feb. 22 in back-to-back games at Vermont.
- On Friday, Feb. 21, Providence took the first lead of the game but could not break Vermont goaltender Roxanne Douville again to reclaim the lead before the end of regulation.
- The Friars outshot the Catamounts, 41-16, in the 2-1 loss, marking the 25th game this season Providence outshot its opponent.
- Lexi Slattery tallied her first goal of the season with the lone goal.
- Later in the game, Beth Hanrahan earned a penalty shot after being pulled down on a breakaway.
- Hanrahan made a move to her backhand but could not put in the equalizer for the Friars.
- Providence went down 2-0 before finding the back of the net on Saturday, Feb. 22.
- Hanrahan snapped a nine-game goalless streak with her fourth power-play goal of the season in the game.
- Saturday marked the first game since Feb. 1, the Friars have been outshot by their opponent.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS...
- Boston University is led by Sarah Lefort, who has notched a team and league-best 51 points in 34 regular season games.
- Lefort leads the team in goals (29) and assists (22).
- Thirty-six of Lefort's points have come in Hockey East action to lead all players in league play.
- Senior Kerrin Sperry holds the reigns at that backstop, making 29 appearances this season.
- Sperry holds a 2.45 goals against average and a .924 save percentage en route to capturing a 18-10-1 record this season.
- Entering Saturday, the Terriers hold a 21-12-1 overall record and a 14-7-0 record in Hockey East play, good for second in the standings.
- Last time out, Boston University was swept by Boston College in the final two games of the regular season.
