HANOVER, N.H. - The Providence College men's lacrosse team was defeated, 6-4, by Dartmouth in non-conference action on March 27 in Hanover, N.H. The Big Green was led offensively by Brian Koch, who recorded four points on three goals and one assist. Four Friars scored one goal each. Sophomore Bobby Labadini (Westford, Mass.) led Providence with two points on one goal and one assist.

The Friars trailed the Big Green, 1-0, after the first quarter of play, but went on to outscore Dartmouth, 2-1, in the second quarter to knot the game, 2-2, at halftime. Dartmouth held the Friars scoreless in the third quarter and took a 6-2 lead with four unanswered goals. Providence rallied to score two unanswered goals in the fourth quarter, but the comeback fell short. Dartmouth came away with a 6-4 victory.

Senior goalkeeper Peter Littell (Upper Montclair, N.J.) made 15 saves for Providence in goal. Michael Novosel recorded two saves for Dartmouth in the win.

Senior Jason Trout (Lutherville, Md.), graduate student Michael Farley (Westfield, N.J.) and junior Devin McBride (Marblehead, Mass.) also scored goals for PC. Senior Brendan Ryan (Chatham, N.J.) and junior Robert Lamontagne (Pittsford, N.Y.) each were credited with one assist.

Providence (0-6) will return to action on Saturday, March 31 against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe St. Joseph's (Pa.). The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
