The Providence College women's ice hockey team held steady at the No. 4 spot in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Polls that were released this week.

The Friars finished the week with a 1-0-1 record after defeating Vermont, 5-1, on October 18 and tying St. Lawrence, 2-2, on October 19. The USA Today/American Hockey Magazine poll remained unchanged, while three schools changed positions in the USCHO.com poll. Minnesota-Duluth moved up one spot this week from fifth into a tie with Providence for the fourth spot after two strong games against Bemidji State. St. Lawrence and Wisconsin switched places and are now ranked sixth and seventh, respectively.

The Friars are back in action on Thursday, October 23 against Northeastern as they start the defense of their HOCKEY EAST title at Schneider Arena at 7:00 p.m.
