Men's Lacrosse Drops Exhibition Game In Overtime

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Junior attacker Brady Iandiorio scored a pair of unassisted goals, including the game winner with 2:48 left in overtime, to lead Colorado College to a 5-4 victory over Providence College in an exhibition game at CC's Washburn Field.

Senior midfielder Kyle Ojakian had two goals and assist for the Friars, including an unassisted goal with 3:19 remaining in the fourth quarter to force the extra session. Junior Jon Meehan and senior Chris Houston also scored for Providence College.

Junior Jesse Porter-Henry, freshman Eliot Weiner and senior Nick Stephens score the first three goals for Colorado College. Porter-Henry tied the game with 2:24 remaining in the first period, and Weiner game CC its first lead at 2-1 just over five minutes into the second period. David Shively, Tony Sorci and James Cleland assisted on the Tiger goals.

Providence, who finished the 2001 season with a 7-9 overall record and a 5-4 mark in the Metro Atlantic Conferenct (MAAC), will open it's season on Saturday, March 9 versus Denver. The game is scheduled to be played at 3:30 p.m. (EST) in Denver, Colorado as part of the Pioneer Face Off Classic. The Friars will face Air Force on Sunday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. (EST).
