The No. 8 Providence College women's ice hockey team will look to build on Friday's, 4-1, victory over Boston College as it welcomes No. 4 Dartmouth College to Schneider Arena this Sunday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.

Dartmouth College enters the game with a record of 1-0-0 after defeating the University of Vermont on Friday, November 1, 7-0. The Big Green were led offensively by senior Carly Haggard (3-0-3), freshman Katherine Weatherston (2-0-2) and sophomore Cheryl Muranko (0-2-2) who all helped pace the offense. Senior goaltender Amy Ferguson started the game for the Big Green and did not allow a goal while turning away six shots in the first two periods to earn the victory.

The Friars enter the game with a 27-10-1 all-time record against the Big Green. The last time the two teams met was in the 2001-02 season when the Friars were defeated by the Saints, 4-3. The Friars are led in scoring this season by senior Jenn Butsch (Berlin, Vt.) with one goal and five assists. Sophomore Rush Zimmerman (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) is second on the team with two goals and three assists. Senior Danielle Culgin (Framingham, Mass.) and juniors Kelli Halcisak (Grosse Ile, Mich.) and Darlene Stephenson (Virden, Manitoba) and Meredith Roth (Dubuque, Iowa) are tied for third with four points. Freshman goaltender Jana Bugden (Corner Brook, Newfoundland) leads the team in goals against average (1.82) and in saves with 80.

Providence College plays its next games on Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the University of Maine's Alfond Arena.
