As A Junior:Â Finished 19th at the New England Catholic Invitational in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.39)... Placed 23rd in the 100-yard backstroke at the Harold Anderson Invitational (1:01.49).
As a Freshman: Placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:01.75) against Bryant…Placed second in the 50 yard backstroke (29.12) against URI…Placed second in the 100 scm backstroke (1:08.17) against Fairfield…At the Harold Anderson Invitational, Schaefer placed 35th in the 200 IM (2:20.22), 29th in the 100 backstroke (1:03.08), and 23rd in the 200 backstroke (2:13.89)…Placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:09.02) against Maine…Schaefer qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in Geneva, Ohio where she competed in the 200 IM (2:18.33) and the 200 backstroke (2:12.08) and placed 15th in the 100 backstroke (59.54).
Before Providence: Earned four varsity letters swimming at Mount Saint Joseph Academy… holds school record in the 50 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 4x200 freestyle relay, and 4x400 freestyle relay.
Personal: Born January 10, 1999… Daughter of John and Heather Schaefer…has one sister, Jewel…plans on studying Art History.
