OCALA, FLA. – The Providence College swimming & diving programs competed on the first day of the 2026 BIG EAST Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 18 in Ocala, Fla. The day began with the women's 3-meter diving prelims and consolation final, followed by evening finals for the men's and women's 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay. The 3-meter women's diving final also took place during the evening session.
Jaclyn Stadler scored 206.25 points in the prelims of the 3-meter diving event and moved on to the consolation final, where she finished fifth with a score of 223.20 (13
th overall).
Kaelyn Talisse scored 195.30 in the prelims, followed by
Myranda Parker (185.70 points).
In the 200-yard medley relay, the women's team comprised of
Bella Lombard,
Lauren Wagner,
Annie Gathof and
Rylie Foley finished sixth with a time of 1:44.74. The men's team made up of
Jake Stachowicz,
Aidan Ochoa,
Nathan Thayer and
Thomas Bowers finished fifth in a time of 1:31.97.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of
Elizabeth Burke,
Julia Renzelmann,
Natalia Robak and
Kendall Eby placed sixth in a time of 7:36.53
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will resume competition on Thursday, Feb. 19. Prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. and finals are set for 5:45 p.m.
