OCALA, FLA. – The Providence College swimming & diving programs competed on the third day of the 2026 BIG EAST Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 20 in Ocala, Fla.
A trio of women competed in the finals of the 100-yard butterfly, including
Annie Gathof,
Rylie Foley and
Liza Goetcheus. Gathof claimed a 12
th-place finish with a time of 56.58. Foley finished 19
th (58.46), followed by Goetcheus in 23
rd (59.97).
In the women's 200-yard free,
Elizabeth Burke led four Friars in the finals with a 14
th-place finish (1:52.59).
Natalia Robak placed 18
th (1:53.26), followed by
Julia Renzelmann in 20
th (1:55.44) and Gathof (21
st, 1:55.80), who was competing in her second individual final of the night.
Lauren Wagner was impressive in the 100-yard breaststroke for Providence, finishing ninth overall in a time of 1:04.11.
Madi Ebanks placed 17
th in the event (1:07.43).
Four members of the women's squad competed in the finals of the 100-yard backstroke.
Bella Lombard paced the Friars with a 17
th-place finish in a time of 56.68.
Siara Celentano finished 20
th (58.86) with a time of 58.86. Goetcheus found herself in her second final of the night and placed 21
st (1:00.58).
Olivia Johanns rounded out the list of Friars in the 100 back with a 24
th-place finish (1:01.98).
The 1-meter diving finals saw impressive performances from Jaclyn Stadler and
Myranda Parker. Stadler posted a 10
th-place finish with a score of 222.90. Parker finished 15
th with a score of 207.00.
The women's 400-yard medley relay team of Lombard, Wagner, Gathof and Burke finished seventh with a time of 3:50.36.
Quinn Schwab and
Quinn Danus competed in the finals of the 400-yard IM. Schwab finished the event with a time of 4:03.55 for 14
th place. Danus checked in at 4:08.83 for 16
th.
The duo of
Nico Menendez-Featherston and
Gabe Hawkins advanced to the finals in the 200-yard free. Menendez-Featherston completed the event in 14
th with a time of 1:41.02. Hawkins touched the wall in 16
th place (1:42.86).
Aidan Ochoa and
Erik Hoie represented the Friars in the finals of the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing 15
th and 16
th, respectively. Ochoa hit the wall in 57.63, while Hoie finished in a time of 59.05.
Ryan O'Day placed 15
th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.99. He was joined in the finals by
Jake Stachowicz, who finished 16
th (51.20).
O'Day, Ochoa,
Nathan Thayer and Stachowicz teamed up to place fourth in the 400-yard medley relay to conclude the day of events (3:24.27).
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will resume competition on Saturday, Feb. 21 – marking the final day of competition. Prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. and finals are set for 5:45 p.m.
