KINGSTON, R.I. – The Providence College men's and women's swimming and diving team competed at the Harold Anderson Invitational in Kingston, R.I. on Nov. 20-23. The men's team placed second out of five teams with 802 points. The women's team finished sixth out of nine teams with 315.5 points.
The men's team had a number of top-three finishes, including a first-place finish by
Will Ballard in the 200-yard backstroke (1:51-42). The 800-yard freestyle relay team comprised of
Nico Menendez-Featherston,
Quinn Schwab,
Noah San Vicente and
Gabe Hawkins topped the field in a time of 6:44.33.
Bella Lombard highlighted the women's events with a pair of top-three finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (56.61) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:02.90). A host of notable finishes are listed below.

HAROLD INVITATIONAL DIVING HIGHLIGHTS
In the 1-Meter Diving event three women scored points and were paced by
Myranda Parker's seventh-place finish (241:40).
Kaelyn Talisse recorded 234.70 points to lead a trio of Friars who scored points in the 3-Meter Diving event.

The Friars will have an extended break, which includes its annual winter training trip to Puerto Rico, before returning to dual meet competition on Saturday, Jan. 24 against the University of Maine. The meet will take place in Orono, Maine. Diving will begin at 11 a.m. and the swim events are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
