Hadley Pride Named To BIG EAST Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

Pride was featured on the league’s honor roll for the second time this season.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Â It was announced yesterday (Sept. 22) that Providence College redshirt senior libero Hadley Pride (Nashville, Tenn). was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. It marked her second appearance among the league's weekly award winners.

Pride was named Libero of the Tournament at the Pelican Invitational and helped lead the Friars to a 2-1 mark over the weekend, sweeping Alabama State (3-0) and falling to Tulane (3-1) on Sept. 19, followed by a win over New Orleans (3-1) on Sept 20. Pride started the weekend with eight assists, one ace, and 20 digs in the Friars' win over Alabama State. She then recorded four assists, one ace, and a career-high 36 digs against Tulane. To close out the weekend, she added seven assists and 26 digs. Pride currently leads the Friars with 267 digs and ranks first in the BIG EAST in digs/set (5.68).

WHAT'S NEXT: The Friars hit the road this weekend to begin BIG EAST Conference play. They will face Marquette on Friday, Sept. 26 at 8:00 p.m. (ET). Providence will then play DePaul on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 5:00 p.m. (ET)
