PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College volleyball team was among 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball teams that earned the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT. The AVCA released its honorees on Monday, July 21.
To earn the honor, a program must maintain a minimum of a 3.3 team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale) throughout the academic year (2024-25). The Friars had an exceptional year in the classroom, achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.5. In the fall, Providence compiled a 3.47 GPA and followed with a 3.53 grade-point-average in the spring of 2025.
