Two Friars Win BIG EAST Weekly Honors For Lacrosse

Ryan Bell and Gregg Dennison were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College men's lacrosse players Ryan Bell (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Gregg Dennison (Acton, Mass.), earned BIG EAST Weekly Honors on Monday, March. 10. Bell and Dennison were both named to the Weekly Honor Roll.     

Bell paced the Friars offense recording a team-high five points on three goals and two assists in the team's home win over Loyola (Md.) on Saturday March 8. He leads the Friars this season with 34 points on eight goals and a team-best 26 assists. Bell is the Friars' all-time leading scorer, holding a record of 204 career points. The senior is also the program's all-time assist leader with 145 career assists. Additionally, this marks the third time Bell has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this season (Feb. 3, Feb. 10, March 10) 

Dennison anchored the Friars' defense netting five groundballs and a team-high three caused turnovers. In seven starts this season, the senior leads the Friars in caused turnovers with seven.  

What's Next: The Friars will travel to No. 8/8 Duke on Wednesday, March 12. Face-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
