Richie Joseph Named USA Lacrosse Player Of The Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's lacrosse player Richie Joseph (Longmeadow, Mass.) earned USA Lacrosse Player of the Week. Joseph scored a career-high eight goals in the team's 15-8 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. The junior's eight goals marked a career high. He also tied his career high in points (eight). Joseph scored five of the teams seven goals in the first half and added three-straight goals in the third quarter. On Monday, Joseph was named BIG-EAST Offensive Player of the Week. Heading into the season he also was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.  

What's Next: The Friars travel across town to Smithfield, R.I. to face Bryant on Saturday, Feb. 8. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
